our culture has changed faster than our brains. the social structures that are presently sanctioned and actively utilized no longer suffice to meet our basic needs. we turn to unhealthy substitutes in order to exist within the isolation that is too often a by-product of our social structure.
is cuddling the sole answer? of course not. but its my way of contributing to a solution. its meaningful to me and it has been meaningful to many others.
one of the largest criticisms has been that it may cause arousal. so, too, may massages, ads for diet coke, and barbie dolls.
the fact that within a few days of gaining any media exposure i had international coverage means something, not about me, but about you. whether you think i’m a creep or whether you’re one of the people who posted comments beneath an image of my face detailing how you want to strangle me and ejaculate all over me, you’re paying attention. the opposite of love isn’t hate, its indifference. my story hasn’t been received with indifference. this is a statement, a testimony to the fact that something i’ve said or done, on some level, makes sense.
Jeez, I’m sorry you’re getting the psychologically disturbed motivated to email you. I support you 100%. You are offering a service that is needed in this day and age were physical human contact is sometimes hard to come by. If you were closer I would possibly be a client. There are times when the only thing I want is a nonjudgmental woman to relax against me while we watch a movie. If that makes me weird, so be it.
I’m so very grateful you are opening up a conversation about human needs in our society. When people respond with anger or fear, I see it as a symptom of their pain that has built up from living so long with unmet needs. I have compassion for them, and hope they find support to live happier lives.
Cheers and blessings and snuggles to you.
You should be proud of getting everyone’s attention with something as harmless as non-sexual touch in the form of cuddling, something almost everyone loves.
It just shows you how uptight some parts of our society have become.
A teacher these days can’t even put his or her arm around a kid to show some support without fear of being charged with sex abuse.
You are not the sick one.
The sick ones are those who want to strangle you over a simple cuddle.
It’s pathetic and childish. They probably haven’t had anyone touch them in years.
There is nothing shameful in what you do.
You have blown up as a buisness..and with anything there are haters..just keep doing what your doing! Everyone is fascinated.
I am not sure where you’re getting your info, but great topic. I needs to spend some time learning much more or understanding more. Thanks for wonderful information I was looking for this information for my mission.
hmm.. what information?
Thank you, I have just been looking for info approximately this topic for a long time and yours is the best I have came upon till now. But, what in regards to the conclusion? Are you sure in regards to the source?
be more specific about what information you’re referring to and then i can be more specific about supporting sources.
obviously like your web-site but you have to take a look at the spelling on quite a few of your posts. Many of them are rife with spelling problems and I to find it very troublesome to inform the truth on the other hand I will certainly come again again.
i don’t mind if i can’t spell. some of my favorite people are dyslexic. maybe i approach spelling like the rest of life… with little regard for popular opinion
though now i’m trying to find spelling mistakes… wish you had pointed some out!
Jackie, just for your sanity, wanted to let you know that WordPress blogs have what are called spider spammers that are an unfortunate reality of blogging. If you look at the names of the posts that are hard to understand, they’re names of software and keyword phrases. What spammers do is automatically post on WordPress blogs across the network with really generic/poorly written comments and then link their name to a specific site in order to boost that site’s ranking in Google.
You can install a plugin on your site under the Plugin section in your WordPress admin called Akismet that will help cut down on the spam comments. Hope this helps. Cheers.
thanks… i guess i’ll just read all the comments before approval. there have been some strange ones that didn’t make any sense. thanks for the heads up
